Telephone numbers change to eight digits

Dear readers, on March 20, 2008, all telephone numbers in Costa Rica will change from seven to eight digits.

For land lines, you will need to add a 2 at the beginning of the current number; for cell phones, add an 8.

For example, the main information number at CATIE, now (506) 558-2000, on March 20 becomes (506) 2558-2000.
