The event sought that the countries that integrate NiPN have a common vision, exist a unified implementation and identify opportunities and bottlenecks, as well as the GSF support routes for future exchanges.

For Julio López, representative of CATIE in Guatemala, the participation in this event allowed the Institution to approach new cooperation spaces and identify potential partners to analyze strategies, so that way its cooperation field can extend, as well as the opportunity to scale up capacities and products to other spaces, not only geographic, but also thematic.

The Project National Information Platform for Nutrition (NiPN). Which is executed by CATIE, has as an objective to strength the national capacities to monitor the chronic malnutrition evolution and implement policies and multi sectoral programs on malnutrition, of higher cost-effectiveness and based on evidence.  The job of this initiative is coordinated with SESAN and with the institutions that integrate de National Food and Nutritional Security System (SINASAN, its Spanish acronym)
