An initiative that works on the most urgent needs of thousands of rural Central American families, promoting the model of Climate-Smart Territories.
Climate-Smart Territories view a territory as a social construct in which various stakeholders interact among themselves, taking into account a decisive factor for humanity: the climate.
Our response is to seek to contribute to rural sustainable development, addressing global problems such as poverty, inequality, food and nutritional insecurity, ecosystem degradation, and vulnerability stemming from climate change. We work in two contrasting zones: the central region of Nicaragua and Trifinio, which is the tri-border area of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.
We achieve our mandate through education at all levels, contributions to food security, reduced vulnerability to climate change, and reduction in gender, age, ethnic and economic inequalities.
