Sustainable livestock in the Region 13 Gulf of Fonseca. <\/strong>It operates within the framework of the Inclusive Territorial Economic Development Program, with a view to improving the employment and income of 700 livestock families. CATIE is working on studies of the chain's competitiveness, the investment climate and the establishment of model farms for the training of producers, as well as the development of environmental and climatic indicators and a protocol for the registration of farms that participate in the Livestock NAMA (CATIE \/ Ayuda en Accion, with support from SDC).<\/p>

Harnessing the potential of trees on farms for biodiversity (IKI TonF). <\/strong>It is part of a global initiative, led by ICRAF, which also operates in Indonesia, Peru, Rwanda and Uganda, whose macro-objective is to fill an important gap in world priorities on the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, by managing rationalization of trees on farms. CATIE is responsible for actions in Honduras, which focus on the analysis of the contribution of trees to the sustainability and conservation of biodiversity, the design of tools to promote investment in trees in agricultural systems, as well as how to help governments verify efforts to restore ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes (CATIE \/ ICRAF, with support from IKI).<\/p>

Transforming the Hon<\/strong>duran livestock sector into a low carbon economy (NAMA Support Program). <\/strong>CATIE was designated by the Government of Honduras as the NAMA-Livestock Support Organization, which is in the Detailed Preparation Phase (DPP). Progress has been made in the identification of the target regions and groups, the preparation of the technical assistance program, the business models and financial mechanisms, the communication strategy, the collaboration agreements with the actors of the livestock chain, and Work is being done to estimate the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the livestock sector (CATIE in coordination with \/ SAG-DICTA \/ MiAmbiente, in collaboration with local partners from the public and private sector, with support from Nama Facility).<\/p>

Digitizing the Cocoa Value Chain in Honduras: Innovative Technologies to Increase the Value, Profitability and Resilience of Cocoa Producers in Olancho (Chocolate4All). <\/strong>It seeks to improve the quality-of-life of 1000 small-scale cocoa producing families in the department of Olancho, increasing the value, profitability, decent income and resilience of the cocoa agroforestry system. CATIE is responsible for the training of technicians and producers, the design of profitable improved systems with the use of innovative tools (drones, software), supported by the establishment and reactivation of clonal gardens.       The impact of our actions is enhanced thanks to an extensive network of partners from various sectors.
