{"id":13780,"date":"2022-08-17T10:34:13","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T16:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=13780"},"modified":"2022-08-17T10:49:55","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T16:49:55","slug":"personas-ganaderas-de-la-amazonia-ecuatoriana-continuaran-fortaleciendo-sus-capacidades-en-ganaderia-sostenible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2022\/08\/17\/personas-ganaderas-de-la-amazonia-ecuatoriana-continuaran-fortaleciendo-sus-capacidades-en-ganaderia-sostenible\/","title":{"rendered":"Ecuadorian Amazonian ranchers will continue strengthening their capacities in sustainable livestock farming"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Capacity building is carried out through the methodology of field schools, so that trained technicians and community promoters promote the sustainable intensification of livestock farming in the area.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>August 16, 2022.<\/strong> As part of the actions of ProAmazon\u00eda, a program of the National Government of Ecuador and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) with the help of CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) are jointly developing a training process in the Ecuadorian Amazon on issues related to sustainable livestock.<\/p><p>The objective is for CATIE to train technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) on the methodology of Field Schools (ECA, its Spanish acronym), as well as in four modules: nutritional blocks, pasture establishment, manure management and sanitation.
