<\/figure>September 4, 2023.<\/strong> The Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL), with technical support form the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), is hosting a series of webinars this week and next week, creating a space for reflection on the main global challenges faced by the livestock systems. Together, they will present promising solutions to enhance the sustainability and resilience of livestock systems.<\/p> The goal of these events is to demonstrate and understand the main drivers of change affecting these livestock systems and their implications for sustainability and resilience at regional and global levels. They aim to generate concrete proposals to address identified challenges and ensure sustainable and resilient livestock systems. CATIE's leadership guarantees an evidence-based technical and scientific stance that will serve as a guiding framework and imput for global events such as the 13th GASL Global Meeting in Thailand.<\/p> The series consist of three webinars:<\/p> Each session will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Rome (UTC+2) and 6:00 a.m. in Central America (UTC-6).<\/p> Webinar participants include GASL members, stakeholders working in the sustainable livestock sector, including governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the private sector, academia, research centers, international organizations, civil society, livestock producers, and consumers.<\/p> To join these webinars, you can watch live broadcast on CATIE's Facebook page @CATIEOficial. @CATIEOficial.<\/a><\/p> These events are part of the celebration of CATIE's 50th anniversary.<\/p> <\/p> Webinar objectives<\/strong><\/p> The main goal of these webinars is to strengthen discussions about the environmental drivers, technological innovation, health and diseases, as well as the geopolitical and socio-economic factors of change in the livestock systems. Additionally, the intent is to explore how industry stakeholders can collaboratively develop solutions to further enhance the sustainability and resilience of livestock systems.<\/p> The webinars will bring together experts and stakeholders providing up-to-date information and multi-disciplinary perspectives on a highly relevant global topic.<\/p> <\/p> About GASL<\/strong><\/p> GASL works as a collaborative platform that seeks to promote sustainability in the livestock sector through knowledge exchange, collaboration among stakeholders, and the development of joint solutions. Members and participants can vary by region and specific areas of interest within the livestock value chain.<\/p> <\/p> About CATIE<\/strong><\/p> CATIE is an international center for innovation and sustainable development in agriculture, management, conservation, and the sustainable use of natural resources. In its work, it combines education, research, and external outreach to increase human well-being and reduce rural poverty.
