{"id":21846,"date":"2023-10-26T13:48:52","date_gmt":"2023-10-26T19:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=21846"},"modified":"2023-10-26T14:14:22","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T20:14:22","slug":"catie-participo-en-el-xx-congreso-de-la-sociedad-latinoamericana-de-nutricion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2023\/10\/26\/catie-participo-en-el-xx-congreso-de-la-sociedad-latinoamericana-de-nutricion\/","title":{"rendered":"CATIE participated in the XX Congress of the Latin American Society of Nutrition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Shared experience regarding the use of data and evidence for evidence-based decision making.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>October 25, 2023.<\/strong> The XX Congress of the Latin American Society of Nutrition (SLAN) was held in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, from October 21-26, 2023, with the aim of promoting the generation and application of knowledge in the field of nutrition and fostering contact and exchange among researchers to analyze and propose alternatives to improve the nutritional status of the Latin American population.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-21849\" style=\"width: 309px; height: 396px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/congreso-nutricion2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"309\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/congreso-nutricion2.jpg 663w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/congreso-nutricion2-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/congreso-nutricion2-9x12.jpg 9w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/congreso-nutricion2-600x769.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 309px) 100vw, 309px\" \/><\/figure><p>More than 700 professionals in nutrition and other sciences participated in this event, who exchanged experiences and knowledge in the different sessions, symposiums and keynote lectures. As part of this dynamic, Eduardo Say, coordinator of the National Information Platform on Nutrition (PiNN) Phase II project, showed the experience of this project, which is executed by CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) in Guatemala and financed by the European Union.<\/p><p>Say presented the paper Data and Information Management: evidence-based decision making.
