{"id":27371,"date":"2024-05-27T10:35:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T16:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=27371"},"modified":"2024-05-30T11:21:52","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T17:21:52","slug":"estudiantes-de-posgrado-del-catie-tienen-nueva-representacion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2024\/05\/27\/estudiantes-de-posgrado-del-catie-tienen-nueva-representacion\/","title":{"rendered":"CATIE's graduate students have new representation\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em>The Student Council 2024-2025 was sworn in on Friday, May 24.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>In a ceremony held on Friday, May 24 in the Honduras Classroom of CATIE's Graduate School, the new Student Council was sworn in to advocate for the interests of the students of the different master's and doctoral programs for a period of one year.&nbsp;<\/p><p>The new president of the Council, Lasmit Cer\u00f3n Cancharis, expressed that they assume the position \"with great enthusiasm and commitment to serve our students in the best possible way. My goal will be to be a strong and representative voice advocating for their interests and needs. We will work closely with the administration and faculty to implement initiatives that improve the quality of student life, foster a sense of community, and support the personal and academic development of all.\"&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/traspaso-estudiantil2-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p>During the swearing-in ceremony, the director of the Graduate School, Dr. Mariela Leandro reminded the new student representation of the importance of multiculturalism at CATIE. \"We represent people with different traditions and customs, and it is very important that you as representatives of the entire student community try to ensure that all people are always respected and heard in an equitable manner and that there are opportunities for all,\" she said.
