{"id":28930,"date":"2024-08-22T11:39:03","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T17:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=28930"},"modified":"2024-08-22T11:44:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-22T17:44:55","slug":"catie-y-fundacion-ayuda-en-accion-formalizan-alianza-para-el-desarrollo-sostenible-en-mesoamerica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2024\/08\/22\/catie-y-fundacion-ayuda-en-accion-formalizan-alianza-para-el-desarrollo-sostenible-en-mesoamerica\/","title":{"rendered":"CATIE and Fundaci\u00f3n Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n formalize an alliance for sustainable development in Mesoamerica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em>This agreement aims to promote joint actions with special attention to the indigenous populations of Central America and Mexico.<br><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) signed a Cooperation Agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/ayudaenaccion.org\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n<\/a>, an international non-governmental non-profit organization based in Spain.<\/p><p>This agreement aims to promote joint actions focused on sustainable development, with particular attention to the indigenous populations of Central America and Mexico, promoting agriculture and the conservation of natural resources under a green and inclusive approach.<\/p><p>The agreement was signed by Dr. Luis Pocasangre, Director General of CATIE, and Mr. Jorge Cattaneo Garc\u00eda, Director General of Fundaci\u00f3n Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>During the signing, Cattaneo expressed his satisfaction with the alliance and highlighted the importance of articulating projects that both institutions are already implementing, as well as transferring good practices in key areas such as livestock farming, biodiversity, and water resource management.<\/p><p>\"This agreement represents a great opportunity to join efforts for the benefit of people. We thank CATIE for its strategic vision, which will undoubtedly enhance our actions in the region,\" commented Cattaneo.
