Twelve local organizations will lead these initiatives in strategic landscapes across Latin America, focusing on climate change adaptation, conflict prevention, and strengthening social cohesion.<\/p><p><strong>Organizations and Priority Landscapes<\/strong><\/p><p>Interventions will focus on sectors such as ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and water resource management in regions highly vulnerable to climate impacts. (FONCET).<\/p><p><strong>Guatemala: <\/strong>Asociaci\u00f3n Estudios de Cooperaci\u00f3n de Occidente (ECO), Asociaci\u00f3n de Desarrollo Verde de Guatemala (ASOVERDE) y Defensores de la Naturaleza.<\/p><p><strong>Honduras:<\/strong> Fundaci\u00f3n Comunitaria PUCA, Federaci\u00f3n Nacional de productores de Cacao de Honduras (FENAPROCACAHO) y el Comit\u00e9 para la Defensa y el Desarrollo de la Flora y Fauna del Golfo de Fonseca (CODDEFAGOLF).<\/p><p><strong>El Salvador:<\/strong> Agencia de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico Local (ADEL) La Uni\u00f3n.<\/p><p><strong>Colombia: <\/strong>Corporaci\u00f3n Biocomercio Sostenible<\/p><p><strong>Ecuador:<\/strong> Corporaci\u00f3n Tois\u00e1n, Tierra Viva.<\/p><p>\"The NbS implemented by PARES not only contribute to climate mitigation but also strengthen community security, promote peace, and address the root causes of migration in the region,\" said Ileana \u00c1valos, the initiative's coordinator.<\/p><p><strong>Towards Sustainable Peace<\/strong><\/p><p>The PARES Project is structured around three essential components: equipping communities with tools to anticipate climate impacts; financing concrete actions through grants managed by CATIE; and establishing platforms for experience exchange and cooperation.
