{"id":33505,"date":"2025-03-31T08:01:16","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T14:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=33505"},"modified":"2025-03-31T08:16:55","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T14:16:55","slug":"honduras-avanza-en-el-desarrollo-de-herramientas-formativas-para-impulsar-practicas-ganaderas-sostenibles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2025\/03\/31\/honduras-avanza-en-el-desarrollo-de-herramientas-formativas-para-impulsar-practicas-ganaderas-sostenibles\/","title":{"rendered":"Honduras advances in the development of training tools to promote sustainable livestock practices"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em>The aim is to validate technical materials and conduct simulations to strengthen the implementation of Farmer Field Schools in livestock production<\/em><\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>With the purpose of strengthening the implementation of Farmer Field Schools (FFS) in livestock production in Honduras, CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center), through the project Transforming the Honduran Livestock Sector into a Low-Carbon Economy (MAF-Ganader\u00eda-HN), carried out the second cross-review of training guides and simulations of sustainable livestock practices.<\/p><p>The activity took place from March 24 to 28 at the facilities of the Regional University Center of the Atlantic Coast (CURLA) and brought together key actors from the sector to validate technical materials and reflect on the practical application of the guides in the field.<\/p><p>Throughout the sessions, the review and approval of the training guides and technical sheets developed in previous workshops continued, so that these materials may serve as technical and methodological support for the facilitators who will lead the FFS starting in June in Valle del Agu\u00e1n, Olancho, and the southern region of the country.<br><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"361\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2-300x127.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2-768x326.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2-18x8.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Guias-tecnicas2-600x255.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p><br>In addition, \u201csimulation exercises of training sessions were conducted by teams, which allowed for collective reflection on the practical use of the guides and the participatory methodology of the FFS.
