The event brought together over 300 participants \u2014 both in-person and virtual \u2014 from more than 20 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.<\/p><p>AGROMIRA positioned itself as a platform for professional development, collaboration, and innovation in agribusiness, featuring more than 40 speakers, 28 applied workshops, six thematic discussion panels, a commercial fair with 36 stands, and a high-level academic program focused on sustainability, technology, financing, and markets.<\/p><p>The opening ceremony gathered key figures such as the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica, V\u00edctor Carvajal, who emphasized: <em>\u201cIf there is one institution that has driven sustainable agriculture in the region, it is CATIE. We learn so much by sharing and understanding local challenges.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p>Over three days, AGROMIRA 2025 offered hands-on, high-impact workshops both in person and online. One standout was \u201cTransforming the future of your agribusiness with positive impact\u201d led by Jos\u00e9 Carlos Mart\u00ednez from Reforestamos M\u00e9xico. Reflecting on his experience, Jos\u00e9 Carlos said: <em>\u201cThis event has been incredible. Field visits were also conducted to sustainable ventures in the Turrialba region.<\/p><p><strong>A commercial fair with impact<\/strong><\/p><p>The AGROMIRA trade fair showcased 36 ventures from the agriculture, tourism, and bioeconomy sectors. Companies like Upala Agr\u00edcola, Southwest, IGO, BAWO, Avocari, APACOOP, AV Almacenes, Geotecnolog\u00edas, and ventures supported by the Adapt-ACTIVA initiative presented their products and services.<\/p><p>\u201cAdapt-ACTIVA gives us the chance to get visibility and explore new market niches, especially for rural producers who struggle to access technology. Here, we broke down those barriers,\u201d said Daniel Vega Guti\u00e9rrez, owner of Finca Para\u00edso in La Virgen de Sarapiqu\u00ed, who participated in the AGROMIRA 2025 fair.<\/p><p>Adriana Escobedo, AGROMIRA coordinator, added: <em>\u201cFor entrepreneurs, taking part in this event can be a turning point.
