{"id":35614,"date":"2025-06-13T15:37:30","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T21:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=35614"},"modified":"2025-06-13T15:39:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T21:39:01","slug":"catie-se-une-a-la-red-de-impacto-latam-para-fortalecer-ecosistemas-de-innovacion-sostenible-en-america-latina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2025\/06\/13\/catie-se-une-a-la-red-de-impacto-latam-para-fortalecer-ecosistemas-de-innovacion-sostenible-en-america-latina\/","title":{"rendered":"CATIE joins the LATAM Impact Network to strengthen sustainable innovation ecosystems in Latin America"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em><em><em><em>The alliance connects the Center with over 250 leading organizations in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social and environmental impact across the region.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) has officially joined the LATAM Impact Network, one of the most relevant alliances for promoting sustainability, innovation, and the development of impact ecosystems in Latin America.<\/p><p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/redimpacto.org\/\">LATAM Impact Network<\/a> is a collaborative platform that brings together more than 250 organizations from across the region, including academic institutions, social enterprises, investment funds, accelerators, and entrepreneurship networks. Its goal is to strengthen the social and environmental impact ecosystem through collaboration and knowledge exchange among its members. Some of the organizations that make up this network include New Ventures, Sistema B, Socialab, Impact Hub, Agora Partnerships, NESsT, among others.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"320\" height=\"191\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/LATAM2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/LATAM2.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/LATAM2-300x179.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/LATAM2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p>With this integration, CATIE expands its opportunities for regional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and participation in high-impact collective initiatives. This alliance also reinforces its positioning as a leader in applied research, training, and technology transfer for sustainable development and offers new connections for its researchers, students, and strategic partners within an active community of innovators, social entrepreneurs, and mission-driven investors.<\/p><p>\u201cBeing part of the LATAM Impact Network allows us to gain first-hand insight into what is happening in the sustainable business and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region\u2014funding opportunities, projects, research lines, and other key initiatives.
