However, in recent years this region has been affected by increasingly extreme weather events, leading to increased food insecurity and growing pressure on rural communities.<\/p><p>Although the consequences have been significant, the Dry Corridor is also a territory of resilience, innovation and knowledge, where experiences are being cultivated that demonstrate that it is <strong>possible to adapt.<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">For this reason, the city of Cop\u00e1n Ruinas, in Honduras, is preparing to host the \"Knowledge in Action: Scaling Solutions for the Central American Dry Corridor\", from September 8 to 10, 2025. This regional event, promoted by CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center), with the support of Swedish Cooperation and in alliance with the Tri-national Commission of the Trifinio Plan and the  <a target=\"_self\">Executive Secretariat<\/a> of the Central American Agricultural Council, aims to bring together the various actors that are already generating responses from their territories.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36270\" style=\"width:589px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Conocimiento-un-Accion2-600x397.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p>\u2018We know that the challenges are great, but we also know that the strength of our communities and local knowledge can transform realities. Today more than ever we need to join forces'', said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zarm3Nq3ryE\">Karin Metell<\/a>, <a>Head<\/a> of Regional Cooperation for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Swedish Embassy, in her call to all to participate.<\/p><p>The fair will bring together more than 200 actors from 60 organizations in the region. To date, 115 representatives from governments, embassies, climate funds, academia, international cooperation and the private sector have already confirmed their attendance.  It will be a strategic opportunity to exchange experiences, disseminate successful initiatives and consolidate alliances that promote climate action and sustainable development in the Central American Dry Corridor.<\/p><p>For her part, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=G-oBbDhjOxA\">Liseth Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a>, <a>Executive Secretary<\/a> Executive Secretary of the Tri-national Trifinio Plan Commission, reminds us that ''it is very important that knowledge reaches more people, more actors and that together we can look for alternative solutions to face these challenges. Knowledge is power, let's share it together''.<em><\/em><\/p><p>In this context, the event focuses on the importance of collaboration: no actor can respond in isolation to the magnitude of this climate crisis. This event will be a platform to enhance this articulation and build bridges to foster new synergies.<\/p><p>The transformation of the Dry Corridor requires knowledge, commitment and collective action.
