{"id":36445,"date":"2025-07-23T14:19:59","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T20:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=36445"},"modified":"2025-07-23T14:20:05","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T20:20:05","slug":"adama-y-colono-agropecuario-refuerzan-su-compromiso-con-la-coleccion-internacional-de-cafe-del-catie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2025\/07\/23\/adama-y-colono-agropecuario-refuerzan-su-compromiso-con-la-coleccion-internacional-de-cafe-del-catie\/","title":{"rendered":"ADAMA and Colono Agropecuario Reinforce Their Commitment to CATIE\u2019s International Coffee Collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em>ADAMA supports CATIE with essential agricultural inputs for the maintenance of the International Coffee Collection<\/em><\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>The alliance between CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) and the company ADAMA continues to grow in support of the conservation and development of the International Coffee Collection, located on CATIE\u2019s campus in Turrialba, Costa Rica.<\/p><p>Thanks to a cooperation agreement initiated in 2023, ADAMA continues to contribute through the donation of agricultural inputs. Colono Agropecuario joins the effort as a new donor partner, having recently become the official distributor of ADAMA products in Costa Rica.<\/p><p>The joint collaboration of both companies strengthens CATIE\u2019s capacity to preserve the collection, which is the fourth most important worldwide, the second in Latin America, and the most diverse outside Africa for the Coffea arabica species. Globally, it is recognized as one of the four \u201corigin\u201d collections.<\/p><p>\u201cThe proper and timely application of these inputs is essential for the maintenance of the coffee plants in our collection.
