{"id":38242,"date":"2025-10-17T10:01:24","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T16:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/?p=38242"},"modified":"2025-10-17T10:02:39","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T16:02:39","slug":"secac-y-catie-impulsan-la-productividad-y-sostenibilidad-ganadera-para-centroamerica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/2025\/10\/17\/secac-y-catie-impulsan-la-productividad-y-sostenibilidad-ganadera-para-centroamerica\/","title":{"rendered":"SECAC and CATIE: driving livestock productivity and sustainability for Central America"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em><em>Toward a sustainable, low-carbon livestock sector for SICA<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em>.<\/li><\/ul><p>CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) and the Executive Secretariat of the Central American Agricultural Council (SE-CAC) held a working meeting with the purpose of coordinating joint actions aimed at supporting the design of the Sustainable Livestock Strategy for the region of the Central American Integration System (SICA), under the leadership of the Central American Agricultural Council (CAC).<\/p><p>This strategy is conceived as a regional common framework that complements and enhances national efforts, boosting the productivity and competitiveness of the livestock sector while reducing associated environmental impacts.
