The foundation\u2019s CEO, Reeta Roy, expressed her interest in exploring cooperation mechanisms for Africa, particularly to facilitate access to improved materials that can contribute to the continent\u2019s productive development. It was emphasized that these materials are public goods available for transfer.<\/p><p>Likewise, the delegation visited the international cocoa collection, validating and comparing its importance for countries such as C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire and Ghana, the world\u2019s leading cocoa producers, and identifying opportunities for scientific and productive collaboration.<\/p><p><strong>Education, leadership, and climate change adaptation<\/strong><\/p><p>Durante su presentaci\u00f3n inicial, el director general del CATIE, destac\u00f3 el estrecho v\u00ednculo hist\u00f3rico y acad\u00e9mico entre el CATIE y la Universidad EARTH, subrayando que 23 egresados de EARTH de 15 pa\u00edses han continuado su formaci\u00f3n de posgrado obteniendo el grado de maestros en ciencias del CATIE. &nbsp;Asimismo, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que en la promoci\u00f3n 2026 se graduar\u00e1n tres egresados de EARTH en programas de maestr\u00eda del CATIE y que ya existen varios candidatos aplicando para la cohorte 2027.
