This process represents a milestone in the development of practical tools to strengthen the productivity, sustainability, and resilience of the sector.<\/p><p>The workshop for the review and validation of training guides for livestock Farmer Field Schools brought together technical experts and territorial stakeholders in a participatory process aimed at ensuring the methodological quality, relevance, and applicability of the training materials. Over four days of intensive work, key content related to pasture management, animal health, resilient practices, water resource management, agroforestry systems, and productive infrastructure was reviewed.<br><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40889\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2-18x10.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/extension-ganadero2-600x337.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p><br><em>\u201cThe validation of these guides ensures that the content is not only technically sound, but also applicable in the field. This is key to achieving real changes in production systems,\u201d said Carlos Tabora, a technical specialist who participated in the workshop. <\/em>especialista t\u00e9cnico participante del taller.<\/p><p>This process represents one of the country\u2019s main efforts to establish a modern livestock extension system, based on participatory learning and adapted to local realities. The validated guidelines will strengthen the capacities of producers and facilitators, promoting the adoption of sustainable and climate-resilient practices with the support of key organizations such as Heifer International and UNAG.\u00a0<\/p><p>The development and validation of these guides goes beyond the technical sphere, consolidating itself as a strategic pillar for the development of the Honduran livestock sector.
