   - Departamento of León: Municipio of Quezalguaque (Comunidad of Cristo Rey) and Municipio of León (Comunidad the Urroces)

   - Departamento of Chinandega: Municipio of Posoltega (Comunidades of El Tololar and Nueva España / El Bosque)

Description

Project Finnfor (Phase 2) works integrally with partner organizations and in alliance with forest sector institutions to contribute to impact generation in the production of forest goods and services via sustainable forest management, social inclusion and equality such that local living standards are improved.

Principal Activities

1) Strengthening wood product value chains to ensure they are transparent and forest benefits are fairly distributed.

 

2) Develop the abilities of the state, leaders and local actors to ensure sustainable forest management is integrated in carbon emission reduction plans.

 

3) Establish common interest groups and networks of permanent demonstration sites where promotion of innovation and education in good governance, transparency and forest management in Central America is possible.

 

4) Design and execute technical assistance guidelines for the development of enterprise management and business plans in target beneficiary groups.
