Learn about Mutual Benefit Interactions Between Birds and Plants in Academic Seminar
- Discover the secrets of seed dispersal ecology in an academic event at CATIE with Dr. Tomás Carlo-Joglar, from Pennsylvania State University.
The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) invites students, academics, and professionals interested in ecology, zoology, and botany to participate in the academic seminar titled "Mutualistic networks of interaction between birds and plants: Research and applications".
This will be an opportunity to explore the complex relationships between birds and plants and reflect on the acquired knowledge and its practical relevance, with Dr. Tomás Carlo-Joglar, a renowned expert in seed dispersal ecology and bird foraging, affiliated with Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Carlo-Joglar, whose research projects span the Caribbean, Argentina, Brazil, and Pennsylvania, will share his knowledge and experiences from an interdisciplinary approach that promises to enrich attendees' understanding of the complex mutual benefit relationships that support ecosystems.
When and where?
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m., in the Ex-Directors' Room of the Henry Wallace Building, located on the CATIE campus in Turrialba, Costa Rica.
How to participate?
