Applications are still open for the “Conocimiento en Acción” Fair in the Central American Dry Corridor

- May 16 is the deadline to submit experiences, tools and services oriented to climate adaptation and resilience in the region.
The “Conocimiento en Acción - Escalando soluciones para el Corredor Seco Centroamericano” Fair is now open for applications to participate in the exhibition and exchange of experiences, tools and services aimed at climate adaptation and resilience in this region highly vulnerable to climate change, which includes territories in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
This regional event will be held from September 8 to 10, 2025 and is organized by the ESCALAR Project “Scaling up climate change adaptation solutions for resilience and migration reduction in the Central American Dry Corridor”, led by CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center), in partnership with the Swedish Cooperation, the Tri-national Commission Plan Trifinio and the Municipality of Esquipulas.
Participating individuals and organizations will be able to share experiences with proven results in climate adaptation in agriculture in the Dry Corridor, with the potential to be replicated in similar contexts and presented by their protagonists; proven tools that support diagnosis, planning, policy formulation, capacity building or monitoring, with positive impact in the region; or technical assistance, financing, training, inputs or marketing services that strengthen climate adaptation actions in the Central American Dry Corridor.
The fair is designed to be a key space for the exchange of experiences, the building of strategic alliances and horizontal collaboration among actors. It will include forums, panels and spaces for dialogue and negotiation that will allow for reaching agreements and concrete commitments to scale up effective solutions in the territory in areas such as climate policies and financing, agricultural innovations for adaptation, rural businesses for women and youth, and restoration for adaptation.
Submissions are open until May 16 on the website https://escalar.catie.ac.cr/conocimiento
This is an opportunity for institutions, community organizations, rural enterprises and other stakeholders to share and amplify solutions that contribute to transforming the future of the Central American Dry Corridor.
