CATIE Specialty Coffee
CATIE Specialty Coffee is an initiative that began in 2019 with the goal of marketing specialty coffees derived from materials produced by the Coffee Genetic Improvement Program and from some of the most outstanding varieties of CATIE’s International Coffee Collection. In its initial phase, the brand focused on two F1 coffee hybrids known as Centroamericano and Esperanza. However, the product range is constantly expanding and will soon include other exceptional varieties.
The focus of CATIE Specialty Coffee is to offer high-quality products that stand out for their unique flavor profiles and sustainable origin. By working with genetically improved varieties, the initiative ensures not only a superior product in terms of taste and aroma but also encourages their use, promoting more efficient and sustainable farming practices.
In addition, CATIE Specialty Coffee is committed to maintaining a close relationship with coffee producers, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and ensuring an ethical and transparent supply chain.
