CATIE celebrates the launch of the new William Allen Hospital in Turrialba
- The institution applauds the patient transfer to the new hospital and reaffirms its commitment to support.
August 3, 2023. On this day, the new William Allen Hospital in Turrialba, one of the most modern in Costa Rica, begins operations with the arrival of the first patients transferred by the Costa Rican Social Security Fund. The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) celebrates this milestone with great enthusiasm. The institution supported the project from its early stages, especially with access to water that supplies the new hospital.
“For CATIE, it is a great satisfaction to witness this event, understanding the significant impact it will have on the health of the Turrialba community. We congratulate all the authorities involved for the work carried out,” expressed Muhammad Ibrahim, general director of CATIE.
CATIE also highlighted the level of modernity of the hospital, which confirms the relevance of the investment made in this health project.
In addition to applauding the inauguration of the hospital, CATIE reiterated its commitment to continue supporting its operation. The General Director emphasized, in particular, CATIE's willingness to facilitate access to water for the functioning of the hospital and to collaborate with the medical staff and workers of the new establishment.
With the start of operations at the new William Allen Hospital in Turrialba, a new chapter in healthcare for the Turrialba community begins. This project represents a significant advance in improving health conditions and the quality of life of the local population.
