      CATIE's Director General and Costa Rica's Minister of Agriculture and Livestock meet for joint work

      • The meeting took place today, Friday, October 21, 2022.

      October 21, 2022. The director general of CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center), Muhammad Ibrahim, and the institutional legal advisor, Luis Carlos Montoya, met with the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica (MAG), Victor Carvajal, with the purpose of talking about his role as the new president of the Superior Council of Ministers of the Center, in addition to discussing the governance system of the institution.

      Ibrahim also presented details about CATIE's scientific and academic work in Latin America and the Caribbean, which seek to promote Inclusive Green Development in the region, actions to which Carvajal assured to provide follow-up, as well as other pending agreements from the Board of Directors.
