The project “Mechanisms and Networks for Technology Transfer Related to Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean” seeks to promote the development and transfer of environmentally sound technologies in order to contribute to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and vulnerability to climate change in the energy, transportation, agricultural and forestry sectors.

The project is coordinated by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and financed by the Global Environment Fund (GEF). CATIE, through its Production and Conservation in Forests Program, leads the actions directed toward the transfer of technologies that improve monitoring systems for forest resources.

Execution of the project began in 2015 and it is expected to end in the second semester of 2018.
